Description

Each school has its own unique operating environment, goals and vision. This module improves your capacity to clearly identify the potential threats and opportunities within that environment and help you to make decisions that deliver the unique outcomes your school community is seeking.

Module 2 in the Strategic Management for School Leaders suite supports the Department of Education and Training's commitment to the public sector values of integrity, accountability, respect, leadership, impartiality and responsiveness across the organisation.

Half-day workshop developed and delivered by the Department's Planning, Risk and Governance Branch, including presentations, discussions, case studies and group activities.

By participating in this module, you will develop the knowledge, understanding and increased capacity to:

  • effectively manage your school’s risk management activities
  • lead a risk-aware school culture
  • apply an effective risk-based approach to the achievement of school priorities and the allocation of resources
  • utilise the Department tools and processes available for effective risk-based decision making.

The course fees are significantly subsidised by the Department of Education and Training.

Co-contribution: $30 (incl. GST) for each Victorian government school participant
