Develop your skills, knowledge and dispositions as a literacy master trainer to facilitate the Leading Literacy for Networks course.
Literacy master trainers are experts with a deep understanding of effective literacy practice who demonstrate commitment and leadership of literacy improvement in schools.
Bastow is providing training for 2 literacy master trainers nominated by their network and endorsed by the region.
This course is part of our literacy suite.
Teachers, school leaders, principals and regional staff, including Education Improvement Leaders, Professional Learning Community Managers or Senior Education Improvement Leaders (SEILs).
2 literacy experts from each network will do a 5-day course (at Bastow in North Melbourne), with the expectation that they will deliver one intake of the 5-day Leading Literacy for Networks course within their network in 2019.
The training provides Literacy Master Trainers with the skills, knowledge and dispositions to facilitate the Leading Literacy for Networks course in 2019.
One intake of the 5-day Leading Literacy for Networks course will be delivered locally in each network in Victoria in 2019. There is a maximum of 30 primary literacy leaders per network intake.
Participants are selected through a nomination process.
- Submit your nomination to the Area Executive Director (AED) and Executive Director School Improvement (EDSI). The AED and EDSI will work closely with SEILs and Network Chairs to endorse nominees.
- Nominees will be notified and details sent to Bastow.
