The Literacy Master Trainer course aims to develop the skills, knowledge and dispositions of educators and school leaders to facilitate the Literacy Local Leaders course.
Literacy master trainers support a system-wide approach to literacy professional learning that builds capacity, improves literacy teaching and learning and results in improved student literacy outcomes.
Literacy master trainers have a deep understanding of effective literacy practice and demonstrate commitment and leadership of literacy improvement in schools.
Becoming a literacy master trainer
Acceptance into the Literacy Master Trainer course is dependent on a nomination and regional endorsement process.
Following endorsement, 2 literacy experts from each network will complete the Literacy Master Trainer course.
After successful completion, literacy master trainers are expected to deliver 1 intake of Literacy Local Leaders within their local area.
