This interactive, self-paced learning resource explores Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a framework for working with students from all ages and backgrounds.

The resource will build your understanding of UDL and how you can better plan your teaching to meet the needs of all students during remote learning.

This resource has been developed and designed by the Department of Education and Training’s Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support (MYLNS).

Designed for all educators from primary and secondary school settings.

Over 45 minutes the resource covers:

  • What is UDL?
  • Why UDL?
  • The brain networks in UDL
  • The 3 principles for UDL
  • Personalisation and UDL
  • SMART goals and UDL
  • A summary of UDL
  • Further research on UDL
  • Task: use UDL in the classroom
