Regional Partnerships

To expand the reach of high quality leadership development across Victoria, Bastow has formed the Regional Partnerships Team. The team works closely with Regional Directors to establish strong partnerships with education networks throughout Victoria.

Emerging, middle and experienced leaders in schools and early childhood settings across rural and regional Victoria now have the opportunity to participate in high quality, contextualised leadership development delivered in situ.

This is a great opportunity for educators from rural or remote areas to connect, share ideas and collaborate on common local issues that affect their schools.

Video conferencing

Rural and regional schools have the option of participating in Bastow’s Twilight seminars and Horizon forums via the Department’s video conferencing system.

To increase the reach of these professional learning events, Bastow has decided to now make all video conferencing registrations free of charge. Please note that registrations are still required for each event you wish to participate in. If you are viewing the session as a group you only need to register once.

We strongly encourage you to participate in sessions as a group. Though you are no longer required to formally register as a hub, we do suggest you nominate a coordinator who is responsible for registering for events and hosting your network at one location (for example, at a school or regional office). These coordinators can then encourage school leaders, teachers and early childhood practitioners from the local area to attend.

If you have any questions please contact Bastow on 8199 2900 or email

Customised and on-demand learning experiences

Our professional practice workshops are available for networks to access on demand in their regions. These workshops are subsidised for government school networks.

Delivery of these workshops may be tailored to meet the needs of a rural or regional school community. If you would like to adjust the length or spend more time on a particular content area, please contact Lisa Black to discuss your learning needs on 8199 2947.
