Leading Curriculum and Assessment

Learn to lead capacity building approaches designed to achieve excellence in curriculum and assessment. The aim is to ensure students experience inspiring and deep learning that enables them to progress.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This course directly supports the Curriculum Planning and Assessment initiative under the Excellence in Teaching and Learning priority area within the Education State Framework for Improving Student Outcomes.​

Leading Curriculum and Assessment supports your team to investigate, analyse and strengthen your current approaches to design at the classroom, team and school wide levels. Informed by the state curriculum, contemporary research and innovative thinking, your team will use local evidence including student voice and local school documentation to determine future directions and priorities for the professional learning of colleagues.

Career Stage

Designed to support a school team including at least one member of the principal class and two teacher leaders who have some form of responsibility for curriculum and/or assessment development. 

At least one of the teacher leaders should have their own classroom teaching responsibilities and one should have team or domain leadership responsibilities.
