What is the program about?
Developed by the Schools Resource Allocation Branch, Dollars and Sense builds school leaders’ technical capabilities in financial management. It equips school leaders with the knowledge and skill to effectively manage school finances, based on DEECD policy and best practice. Dollars and Sense is updated for 2014.
Who is the program designed for?
Current and aspiring Principal class members, and current and aspiring Business Managers.
What will I learn?
Participants will develop an understanding of:
- Student Resource Package (SRP)
- workforce budgeting
- financial management
- financial reporting.
How is the program structured?
Dollars and Sense is presented by experienced practitioners as four half day sessions.
